Opaki School
Opaki School was established in 1878 as a one classroom rural school. In 2003 we celebrated 125 years and we now have seven classrooms with approximately 160 students from years one to eight. We currently draw our students from the surrounding rural areas and from Masterton which is approximately 5kms away. The school has positive partnerships with these communities.
Opaki School provides a safe, caring and supportive environment where the students are encouraged to strive for excellence in academic, sporting and cultural areas. We take pride in the wide range of quality learning activities and resources we have to offer. We encourage students to base their actions and behaviour around a set of values that are modelled by staff and children alike.
